Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club

At Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club, we have a very friendly and active Ladies’ section, with a full programme to suit all members. We aim to cater for all golfers; if you are looking for competitive golf we have several single handicap ladies who regularly represent the county, and if you are looking for relaxed golf we have many ladies who enjoy a social game.

We have a dedicated Ladies’ morning on a Tuesday, with golf on both the Old and West courses. We run competitions at the weekend for those ladies not able to play in the week or those who would like to play more golf.

Our Ladies’ programme includes:

Regular medals, stablefords (18 or 9 hole) red and blue tees
Summer and Winter knockout competitions
Fun competitions, especially in the winter
Ladies Club Championship
Invitation days
Competing in Sussex County Ladies Golf Association events
Part of the County Card Scheme
Play in Divisional matches at 4 levels
Winter league matches
National Competitions, for example, Coronation Foursomes, Ping, Kyocera (formerly Annodata)
Wide range of friendly matches against other clubs
Mixed competitions with men’s section

We try to increase our golf programme each year to offer our ladies more choice and more golf.

In addition to our reduced membership rates for members under the age of 36, all entrance fees
have now been removed for any applicant joining under the age of 33.

New to golf

The Ladies section is always delighted to welcome new members and for those ladies without a handicap or new to golf we have a very successful Academy programme.

If you are interested in joining the Ladies section or would like some more information on the membership or any of our initiatives, please contact the office by calling 01342 822018.
