Frank Pennink (1913 - 1984)

Frank Pennink was a celebrated and stalwart member of Royal Ashdown, which he joined in 1935. He reached the final round of the 1936 and 1938 Opens, the former being won by Alf Padgham. In addition to his illustrious amateur golfing career he was a successful golf course architect and one of the foremost writers on golf.
